Ok, I know its a few days old, but it took a while to grow on me before I decided it was moon worthy. Maybe its that Ive been so obsessed with Drake lately that I forgot how much I love the man on on the moon himself. Cudi will always be my favorite. Im extremely jealous of everyone who is seeing him live lately getting to listen to tracks off of his new album, Man on The Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. September 14th is a long ways away but worth it for that new new...

"LIFE AND DEATH"- Michael Giacchino (guitar cover)
I'm slowing it down heavily for this post. Many of my friends who have been suffering through the LSAT with me have told me that my blog has been helping them persevere. This one goes out to you guys.
This is the definition of study music. The original song by Oscar winning composer Michael Giacchino, was composed with piano and strings for the ABC show LOST. It is comparably relaxing, but this version is just plain amazing. This guy covers it with an electric guitar, adds some effects, and gives it that space like feel. This is the song that is playing on repeat in my head while I have been taking these LSAT practice tests. Hang in there guys, it will all be over soon...

"CLOSER TO MY DREAMS" (Freestyle)- Dolla
I'm young and I'm active. I got some shit I'm tryna learn you can help me practice. We study on the mattress; That's where my class is, nothing but a T-shirt, that's easy access.
Amazing freestyle from Dolla that samples Drake's "Closer to My Dreams". Although Dolla only graced hip hop with his presence for a short time, his music will live on forever.
RIP DOLLA (11/25/87-5/18/09)

"BLUE AND YELLOW"- The Used
Should've done something but I've done it enough,
Classic track from The Used. I will never stop loving this song. Burt, the lead singer, puts so much passion and emotion into his music that he throws up after every single live show. (Just a fun fact)
By the way your hands were shaking,
Rather waste some time with you...

"SINK FLORIDA SINK"- Against Me
Ive been posting a lot of hip hop lately, but with the LSAT rapidly approaching, I'm gonna slow it down a bit, and play some songs with soothing melodies , sensual beats, and a little guitar, so I stop being so stressed. This song by Against Me is real old and brings back a lot of history from my high-school days. Short, but sweet...

"FIREWORKS"- Drake
The album version of this song was leaked just a few hours ago. I do feel kinda bad posting this, because more tracks are leaking every day, but every new track I hear off of this album makes me want it more and more. These lyrics are so deep. He touches on everything; his sudden success, his parents,ex girlfriend, and more. So real. Enjoy...Thank Me Later, June 15th.

"SUPERBAD"-Travie McCoy
This track comes off of Travie McCoy of the Gym Class Heroes' first solo album "Lazarus", which is actually his middle name. The CdQ version officially dropped a few hours ago. This song is unique in that he sings the entire time, and doesn't even rap. Travie has been doing big things lately, and I'm definitely looking forward to this album dropping on June 8th.

"UN-THINKABLE Remix" Alicia Keys ft Drake
“Cause you know life is what we make it and a chance is like a picture, it’d be nice if you just take it”
Ive been listening to this track for a few days now, and I normally dont like RnB type music, but this one stands out. I finally decided to throw it up. Pure fire, lava, baby making music. PLEASE GO AND LOOK UP THESE LYRICS! Drizzy's verse is too deep, and this beat is too sensual...

"BE QUIET AND DRIVE"- Deftones
"This town don't feel mine
The LSAT and everything else has been stressing me out too much lately. This song makes me just wanna pack my shit and move to the moon, where there are only good vibes.
I'm fast to get away, far
I dressed you in her clothes
Now drive me far away
It feels good to know Your all mine
now drive me far away
I don't care where just far,

"FORMANT"- Team Sleep
I am so sick of studying for the LSAT tonight. I need to go to the moon asap. All I need is some Team Sleep, and I'm gone. Team Sleep is Chino Moreno of the Deftones' side project. Most of the tracks are like this, so check out the rest of their songs and try not escape real life for too long...Goodnight Moon
This song literally removes the gravity from the room.

"FALL FOR YOUR TYPE"- Drake
Can I, Can I save you from YOU?
New Drizzy...short but sweet. Im not sure if this is going in the album, but its wet none the less... The lyrics speak to me. Drizzy is talkin about this girl he fell for even though he knows its wrong. He should have learned his lesson the first time, but he swears this one is different. He wants her to have fun and do her thing, but to get out of her own head, and tell her that the thing she keeps looking for is actually right in front of her face. This kid is the truth...

"PLEASE DONT SHOOT ME DOWN"- Los

LOS kills every beat he raps over. Most ridiculous lyricist since Big L. I know thats a bold statement, but listen to this guy's second verse. He is literally rapping about LEFT and RIGHT! If you have time, check out his "A Millie Fresstyle". Yes I said freestyle! Raps as fast as Twista, but off the dome...

"ANALOG BOY"- Rx Bandits
I couldn't believe my eyes when I woke up this morning,
Heard these guys while I was in NJ in 2004. I eventually ended up seeing them live many years later. This song always stuck out to me. Its a punkish/ska feel, but it sounds great.
I looked at the sidewalk and there was a million people dressed the same,
who answered their cell phones at the same time
and all popped a pill for the same disorder
can't be fat, no we can't have that
we're so far gone...

"MY WAY"-JJ ft Lil Wayne
When I decided to make this blog thing, I had it in mind to put songs like this up the most. Its trippy, different, and space-like. This is the kind of music that takes you to the moon. I heard this track back in January, but haven't heard it again until recently, and I fell in love all over again. Wait until Weezy's verse drops. You're welcome...

"MAKE TONIGHT"- Emanuel
Relax, relax and let these taxes of your reflex act.
This song is pure SEX. I saw them open up for Senses Fail while I was still in high-school, and have been a fan ever since. The way the lyrics flow together with this rhythm is so seductive. After listening to this one, you might wanna take someone to the moon with you, if you know what I mean...

"DON'T WORRY, IM YOURS" - DJ Dain Mashup : Jason Mraz vs Bobby McFerrin vs Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
R.I.P. Big guy...
I dont care what kind of day you might be having, or how miserable your life might be, THIS SONG will pull you out of it. A master mashup of the 3 feel good artists of the Milenium. Jason Mraz's "Im Yours", Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry Be Happy", and my favorite Ukelele artist, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's "Over the Rainbow", and "Wonderful World".

This is the first track that brought me on to the J Cole bandwagon. Im pretty sure it was this track that convinced Jay-Z to sign him. PLEAAAASSSEEE look up these lyrics and read them along with the song. This kid is too real, and pure genius. He is the future of hip hop, I promise you this...

"BUTTERFLY EFFECT"- Kinetics & One Love
Ive been obsessed with Kinetics and One Love lately. You might recognize their music from the "Airplanes" song with B.O.B. and the hot redhead from Paramore. That song samples the original "Airplanes" song by Kinetics! Their lyrics are just plain ridiculous. They are so talented, and I cant wait for what they have next.

"ROLLIN"- Jackie Chain ft, Kid Cudi
This is kind of how it is,
This song randomly came on while on the way down to Sofla today, and it reminded me how much I love it. If you have the time, google Jackie Chain. He very might well be the goofiest human being I have ever laid eyes on, and should be lucky that Cudi threw a verse on this track. Many people might be familiar with the remix of this jam, where its just Cudi, which is fine, but in this version you can hear alot more of the instrumentals that make up this amazing beat.
when you living young and fast...
